Scoring- Models earn points in the following ways:
- + 10 pts - Becoming America's Next Top Model
- + 3 pts - Winning the weekly Cover Girl of the Week
- + 3pts - Winning the Weekly Challenge
- + 2pts - Being the 1st Called during panel
- + 1pt - Advancing to the next week
- + 1pt - Being called "fierce" by someone other than another model
- + 0.5 - Being picked by the winner to share in the challenge prize
- + 0.5 - Being compared to a famous model
- +0.5 - Being compared to a former contestant
- -1 pt - Being in the bottom 2 at panel
- -2pts - Being Kicked off

First, I would like to thank Dan for providing me with a great way to speed up the process of falling asleep at night. Whenever I am having trouble sleeping, I start to think about the finer points of the next top model scoring system, and within minutes I am in a coma. However, in the 23 seconds before I was sleeping the last time this happened, I though of something. What is the point of losing 4 points when your model is voted off for a particular week? Everyone will loose all of their models eventually (except the winner who will have one model left) and therefore everyone will lose 16 points eventually. It will change the week to week scores as some people lose models more quickly then others, but technically it will make no difference in the final tally, right? Please discuss.
